Welcome to the 17th FIMBA World Maxibasketball Championship,
planned from 27th June to 6th July 2025 in Ticino, Switzerland.
Bellinzona, Lugano and Locarno:
The three host cities of Bellinzona, Lugano and Locarno each bring their own charm to the championship and different accommodation possibilities.
For overnight accommodation, we invite you to explore the map of the Ticino region, where basketball courts and FIMBA Villages are indicated, as well as available hotels and hostels. You can also use filters to search hotels in the corresponding areas.
Please note that the schedule of games will be published shortly before the Championship starts, hence you might stay in one city, play in another one etc.
We recommend that you book your hotel well in advance.
Hotels booking
Welcome to the official booking platform!
Amiconi Consulting SA, as official housing agency, has reserved hotel rooms in various hotels, hostels and B&Bs to guarantee accommodation for the participating teams.
Our availability is guaranteed only until April 20th 2025.
After that date, limited hotel rooms will be still available and all the booking' requests will be upon request and availability.
Available dates: from 27 June to 6 July 2025, 9 nights on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional nights are upon request, please contact us BEFORE the booking.

Our accommodation package included:
- Transfers from Milano MXP airport, by public transportation, to the nearest stop from your hotel.
- Preferred rate for food and drinks in the FIMBA Villages arranged in each cities: Lugano, Bellinzona and Locarno (max 30 minutes one from another).
- Preferred rates for touristic and cultural activities: explore the list.
Upon check-IN you will receive the Ticino ticket: a free public transport pass valid through all the Ticino region for the duration of their stay, available via App or paper.
Book as early as possible due to the hight tourist season in southern Switzerland.
